CBD – natural help for anxiety

Anxiety – for many a companion in everyday life

From one moment to the next everything turns, you tremble, sweat, get palpitations, everything becomes blurred – panic attacks come out of nowhere and seemingly without reason and the symptoms for them can be very different. Very suddenly and quickly, the ground is pulled out from under the feet of those affected, and they feel completely helpless.

As a natural reaction to danger, fear is necessary for survival. However, people with anxiety disorders also fear everyday situations and react with shortness of breath, dizziness, racing heart and trembling.

According to the WHO (World Health Organization), anxiety disorders are among the most common mental illnesses, with some 264 million people worldwide estimated to suffer from them. However, the number of unreported cases is estimated to be much higher, as many sufferers do not consult a doctor, for example out of shame.

Conventional treatment of anxiety disorders

Doctors often prescribe drugs such as antidepressants for anxiety disorders, although the effect often leaves much to be desired and they can lead to severe side effects and dependence. Therefore, sufferers are increasingly interested in herbal alternatives to reduce the symptoms of anxiety disorders. CBD is increasingly recommended in this context and is becoming more popular for alleviating the condition.

With CBD more anxiety-free in everyday life

The hemp active ingredient CBD is said to have a wide range of health effects. The reason for the many positive properties is said to be the mix of valuable ingredients, which is said to have a relaxing, anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic effect. In addition, more and more studies prove the interaction of CBD with the body’s endocannabinoid system (ECS). Research reports indicate that the ECS is able to influence the emotional level. This should make it possible to counteract an increased release of stress hormones – such as cortisol or adrenaline – and have a calming effect on body and mind. Furthermore, the extract from the hemp plant is also said to have a positive influence on the serotonin receptor and is therefore increasingly recommended for depression – serotonin is also called the happiness hormone. For this reason, a positive effect on anxiety and panic attacks is quite conceivable and CBD is thus a beacon of hope for many sufferers.
